The Mighty Roars are a three-piece alternative rock band from London, formed in 2004 by David Pringeur and Lara Granqvist after they met Martin Pilkington through an advert placed in the NME. They were invited to open the Isle of Wight festival in 2005 and won XFM's unsigned band competition in the same year. Signing to OLI in 2006, they released their debut album Swine & Cockerel, recorded at Monnow Valley Studios in Wales, in 2007.
