Daníel Ágúst Haraldsson is an Icelandic solo artist as well as a member of GusGus, Nýdönsk and Esja. In 1989, he participated in the Eurovision Song Contest, finishing in 22nd place. After releasing 5 albums with Nýdönsk, he began his solo career in 2000, while also writing music for TV and documentary films and composing scores for the Iceland Dance Company. His debut solo record Swallow A Star was released on One Little Indian in 2005, after which he formed Esja with Mínus frontman Krummi, releasing a self-titled album in 2008.
